MILLE4SAMPLES

MILLE4SAMPLES was first created in 2015 as a DJ collective, then became an association at the end of 2020. It brings together 6 music enthusiasts with varied backgrounds in djing. All our members come from Yverdon-les-Bains or the surrounding area. We specialise more particularly in electronic music, but also enjoy other musical genres.

Over the 7 years of our existence, our members have performed several times in the Yverdon-les-Bains region and beyond. L’Amalgame, La Dérivée, the AlternatYv festival, the first edition of TECHNOLAKE, the RDV des Terrasses and several parties organised by the Yverdon Youth Council have all welcomed one or more of us. Some of us have also played at the NED in Montreux, at the Moonlight in Monthey, at a student party in Neuchâtel, in Geneva, at the 2PPFM in Zinal and even at La Barge in Troyes (France).

MILLE4SAMPLES’ transformation into an association was motivated by our desire to get involved in organising events that we felt were our own. What’s more, we noticed that there was a serious lack of electronic music events in Yverdon-les-Bains and the surrounding area.

We decided to take the plunge to remedy this lack of facilities for the general public, as well as the lack of a stage for young DJs in the region. When we set up our association, we bought a Sound Truck, a mobile DJ stage previously run by the Diskotek association. Diskotek had been organising events in Yverdon-les-Bains for a number of years, but was no longer in business. Since then, we’ve collaborated with and hired out the Sound Truck to various organisations active in the cultural life of Yverdon-les-Bains and further afield, such as the Short Circuit Festival in Moudon.

Of course, we’re a young association, but we’re keen to become more professional by gaining a lot of experience in events management. We’ve all already had experience in this field in other contexts, and we come from diverse professional backgrounds that have enabled us to develop useful skills for organising events.
