A new edition of Divercity Daydance will take place at Werkk Baden on 24 May!
The 15th year of Divercity continues apace and hopefully with you too! After all, life passes by at a rapid pace and the days and nights should be utilised. But not only life is fast – Drum and Bass can easily keep up! From 16.00 to 24.00, new memories will therefore be created at a fast dance pace.
Our special guest Fred V (UK) is the man for the job! Since 2009, he has known how to get the crowd moving quickly on the dancefloor. With tracks like ‘Drowning In You’, ‘Collide’ and ‘Homesick’, he gets every basshead’s heart fluttering.
Our local guests Plyometrics, Soy and Breako will also ensure a good mood and great sound! This fast-paced line-up will be supported by our residents Rollin John, Juandroid and Delilah. They, too, will bring a great atmosphere to any gloomy venue in no time at all.
Anyone who is still undecided after these convincing arguments should quickly change their mind! After all, there will be lively dancing, enjoyable drinking and cosy get-togethers from afternoon to night on 24 May. So be there at the Divercity Daydance at Werkk Baden. Divercity was founded in 2010 as a local Zurich Drum’n’Bass event label. With the monthly party series ‘Soul Of Divercity’ in the music club Mehrspur, they contributed a lot to the national scene back then. It was a meeting point for all local headz, where people danced, laughed and shared a passion for broken beats.
In 2012, they successfully ventured out of the multi-track and organized the first ‘Jungle Bass’ with David Boomah and Aries at Exil. This party series still exists today after many years and it is fair to say that it has made a big contribution to the local, ongoing jungle revival.
After further events with guests such as DJ Hype, Benny Page and Utah Jazz, the first large-scale rave followed in March 2013 at Komplex 457, a Hospitality event with acts such as High Contrast and Camo & Krooked.
The following years were packed with both large and small events. They never forgot to promote the Swiss scene with ‘Soul Of Divercity’, nor to cover the demand for big raves with further hospitality events or RAM nights. They are also very keen to experiment. For example, a new party series ‘Divercity Live!’ was briefly launched to bring electronica from acts such as XXYYXX and Daedelus to Zurich. Dub parties are also being organized more and more often to draw the public’s attention to the origins of today’s bass music.
Divercity would like to take this opportunity to thank the entire community, because without them such a journey would never have been possible! 10000 kisses of thanks!
Venue
As a youth cultural centre in the city of Baden, Werkk is a meeting place for a diverse, culturally interested audience.
We offer teenagers and young adults aged between 16 and 25 a space to get involved in the region’s cultural scene and actively help shape it.
The programme at Werkk is put together by cultural groups who organise various events in collaboration with the management team. From concerts and parties to theatre and exhibitions, almost anything is possible. We help you to gather the most important know-how in the cultural scene so that you know what’s going on and can then realise projects independently. Have you had something in mind for a long time that’s just waiting to happen? Get in touch with us!
You don’t want to organise, but still want to be part of Werkk? Then get in touch and become a Werkk group member! By volunteering in a shared flat of your choice, you can support the cultural scene in your region, gain an insight into cultural activities, learn a lot, meet lots of great people and make valuable contacts. Whether you are a chef, a skilled craftsman, a photographer or interested in event technology – or you don’t know any of these things yet but would like to learn – our Werkk groups (WGs) are there for you.
