The core business of Treibhaus is the promotion of youth culture. Teenagers and young adults can realise their ideas without financial risk and with the coaching of the Treibhaus team. They learn to take responsibility and to realise projects on their own initiative. The Treibhaus is a place to grow, gain experience and realise crazy ideas – it is a playground, a field for experimentation and a place of training all in one.
The Treibhaus includes an event room for concerts and parties as well as a professional catering business with a pub and bar. The catering, technical support in the sound and lighting areas and the cultural programme are all co-designed and supported by young people.
The Treibhaus kitchen prepares fresh meals for an average of 60 guests per day from Tuesday to Friday. Outside of regular opening hours, companies and private parties are also catered for.
The Treibhaus offers various apprenticeships and annual internships: Lucerne Business School (100%), HSLU Social Work – Socio-Cultural Animation (60%), Social Media & Communication (80%).
In addition, our employees in the areas of technology and gastronomy are prepared for the labour market during their employment at Treibhaus through specific training concepts and professional support from the Treibhaus team.
