At midnight, the Albani Fumoir is transformed into a small, sophisticated rave – just in case your dancing legs are itching.
At the same time, the bar continues to operate – just in case you prefer a cosy atmosphere: the evening sun lights up the façades, people splash around in the fountain and you sit with a drink in your hand in the cheerful Steibi hustle and bustle and let the week come to an end. But as the moon rises over the alley, the vibe changes. Your dancing leg twitches… What now? Take the plunge into the Rabbit Hole! For a few hours only – from 00:00 to 03:00 – we’ll be raving our hearts out in the Albani fumoir: mysterious, playful, electronic.

Since our opening concert by Willy DeVille on 13 August 1988, we have done everything we can to be a social meeting place, cultural living room and friendly madhouse for our audience.
Our wide range of events includes concerts, parties, poetry slams, jam sessions and much more. On weekdays, the Albani is a cosy bar with a vintage flair. What is often forgotten is that we also offer overnight accommodation, and the Albani stands for openness and diversity. This is reflected not only in the concert and party programme, which ranges from electronic music and hip-hop to indie, rock and alternative, but also in the fact that people of all ages and backgrounds come and go here.
Generation after generation of Winterthur residents have grown up with the Albani. And although small, it is impossible to imagine the city without this cult venue on Steinberggasse.
