The RaBass programme on alternative radio station RaBe is one of the oldest drum & bass shows in Switzerland and is celebrating its 20th anniversary this year – and this should be celebrated in style!
Headlining the event is L-Side, who will sweep away the slowly but surely approaching winter in the federal capital with his Brazilian roots, making his debut in Switzerland in the process. With releases on major labels such as V, Hospital and CIA and numerous remixes, he is one of the heavyweights in the business.
Also joining in are the faces behind the programme: Lockee and Ele are the two protagonists who tirelessly bring fast, broken beats to the airwaves month after month, inviting well-known DJs and newcomers from the region for live sets and discussing scene-relevant news. They are joined by Ryck, a long-time programme maker and host of the monthly Bern Bass Podcast.
We are also honoured to welcome Antart, a veteran from Bern, GAZ:elle, one of the most dynamic figures from the capital, and Basskind, an up-and-coming DJ and long-time supporter of the show. Last but not least, Steve G and Careemovic will close the circle with an intro set in the UK garage genre, which also played an important role at the beginning of the RaBass era.

When the Theater am Käfigturm closed its doors in early 2024, a vacuum briefly formed over the upper part of the old town. It wasn’t really dangerous, but it was big enough that the Sous Soul epigones felt the typical spark of anarchy, naivety and overconfidence, and after a few phone calls and meetings, the dice were cast in a strange constellation.
They would open a club. It would be called Sous Soul. They would take risks. On 11 stages, things would happen, some sequentially, some in parallel, and no one could say exactly where it would all lead. In April 2025, the new Sous Soul will open its doors. There are three large red doors, just in case someone wants to close a door. Everything would be underground again, subcultural, colourful, contrasting, warm and inclusive.
And with the old and ever-new modest megalomania.
