The association – “Jungle Street Groove” has existed since 1996 with the purpose of regularly organizing a music parade in Basel (currently every two years).

Originally organized as a musical demonstration against France’s nuclear weapons tests by Jacques Chirac in the 1990s, this was the first rally in this form. The Jungle Street Groove Parade has since become an integral part of Basel’s youth culture scene and now also attracts international interest, with attendance figures of more than 10,000 people per edition.
