The Alte Schule is the cultural centre of the municipality of Horgen and is located in the 140-year-old Dorf schoolhouse, a minute’s walk from the railway station and landing stage, and houses a bar and its forecourt, a hall and a club in the basement.

The Alte Schule offers guests a unique atmosphere in which to linger and enjoy themselves. The premises of the cultural centre can also be hired for private events, but are also a venue for public events such as concerts, comedy nights, art exhibitions, poetry slam evenings and theatre performances. The unique property is owned by the municipality of Horgen.
