In 2009, the legendary Eldorado was finally discovered in the city of Biel. In this magical place, golden beer flows and golden sounds escape from the loudspeakers. Simone and Martin Baumann felt called upon to take on the extraordinary task of bringing this place back to life after centuries of being untouched.

Thirsty people alleviate their suffering after a hard day’s work in the cozy after-work round, those suffering from a lack of salt are relieved of their deficiency with salted peanuts. People who are exposed to mainstream radio all day can find inner peace with guitar solos and blast beats. In our fumoirs, guests can indulge in smokers’ products, while non-smokers can let themselves be purified by the fine smoke in animated conversations for free. The spirits from the orchard never rest in the glasses for long.

In summer, there is always a breeze blowing through our terrace garden. It is covered with mysterious stone slabs painted with hints for a better life.

Every month, a person of the arts visits us and presents their view of things and life on our wall, which is now covered in small holes.

At our pub quizzes, questioners get answers to questions they would never have asked.

Fans of both loud and quiet sounds will always experience something unexpected and new at Eldorado. Bands from the subcultural genres such as punk, metal, rock’n’roll, garage, but also folk and independent and whatever else is out there play live here. Record collectors as well as party DJ’s play their trouvailles over the sacred Eldorado devices, directly to the ears of the visitor.
