The flon is an offer of the open youth work centre of Kinder Jugend Familie (KJF) of the city of St.Gallen. KJF is a service and specialist centre for children aged between 7 and 12 and young people aged between 13 and 26 who have a direct connection (home, school, work) to the city of St.Gallen or spend their free time there.

Concerts, parties, theatre, exhibitions and much more take place in the flon youth culture space. The youth cultural space is run by an operating group consisting of teenagers and young adults aged between 16 and 26. They plan and organise events with the support of staff from the Offenen Jugendarbeit Zentrum St.Gallen. The Youth Culture Space serves as a platform for presenting events to a wider audience. The space is also available for various forms of production such as dance training, theatre rehearsals or stage design. Young people who have an idea for realising projects or activities are given professional support and guidance by the staff at the Open Youth Work Centre. They help with the search for funding opportunities, compliance with legal requirements and arranging contacts with bands, etc.
