In 2019, SBB offered Gleiserei GmbH the opportunity to rent the old engine driver’s cab (built in 1894) at Rundstrasse 5 for a limited period until mid-2030. Our concept convinced the property owner. In collaboration with SBB and the heritage conservation authorities, we were able to realise our ideas of maintenance and upgrading. The Gleiserei is now a place where creative people of all ages, with a creative urge and a desire to realise their own ideas, can rent affordable offices or studios.

The building, which had stood empty for several years, has been transformed into beautiful studios, spacious workshops and light-flooded offices. The Gleiserei offers the opportunity to settle down in an urban and alternative location at a favourable price and to exchange ideas with like-minded people and those who think differently.
