Welcome to Rümpeltum, a collective in St. Gallen that works voluntarily and independently for cultural freedom without consumer pressure. Since spring 2022, our small but fine cultural centre has been located in a disused SBB barracks in the Bach area of the St. Fiden railway station, which we have lovingly converted.

We offer space for concerts, lectures, readings and support various groups through the free use of our space. Every Wednesday we offer a Küfa (kitchen for all) on a collection basis.

Rümpeltum was founded around 22 years ago as a squat and has moved three times since then. We are a chaotic, non-hierarchical bunch of people of all ages and are always happy to welcome new members. We are always looking for new people to join us, be it behind the bar, as a cook, sound engineer, organiser or even as a member of the collective.
