Spherical, more spherical, BCee. There is hardly anyone else in the drum and bass scene who creates such soulful tunes. BCee has been shaping drum and bass for 20 years now and has helped numerous artists such as Alix Perez, Lenzman and S.P.Y. to make their first releases on his label Spearhead Records. If you are still flashed by Sun and Bass or couldn’t be there: BCee brings the vibe to us. Our locals are not to be missed either: Muck (JUR Records), Lieglize (JGUC), Darius D (JUR Records) and Z-Groove (JUR Records) will also enchant you with their sets. JUR Records was founded in 1991 by the then 16-year-old Semtex and is still his passion today. Semtex sees another parallel to Goldie’s Metalheadz label in addition to the founding date: the family aspect is especially important to him. It’s not just about shared musical interests, but also about friendship. Over the years, the crew has grown, with new faces joining or leaving. To date, around 80 DJs have been or are members of JUR. JUR Records is not only a label and promoter, but also a platform for young, talented DJs to present their music. Many DJs who now have their own labels made their first appearance at JUR. Today, JUR Records can look back on over 1000 organized parties, various open airs, Love Mobiles at the Street Parade and other events.

From Futterfabrik to cantonal cultural lighthouse
KIFF – “Kultur in der Futterfabrik” is an interim use of the former Futterfabrik in Aarau that has now been running for over 30 years.
In 1991, official operations began in the studios and an event room. A lot has happened since then: KIFF now hosts rock, pop, hip hop, indie, world and metal concerts as well as parties, comedy and literary events in three event rooms (hall, foyer and Fabrikpalast) and operates a bar (Silo) as a separate room and fumoir. A studio tower with 12 studios and the Fabrikpalast are also part of KIFF.
The IG Kultur in der Futterfabrik association is supported by a voluntary board; a team of 17 permanent employees and two interns organize the day-to-day operations at the Futterfabrik. Almost 150 volunteers, known as activists, from Aarau and the region support the operation behind and in front of the scenes in their free time.
Since 2011, KIFF has been a cultural beacon in Aargau and receives a great deal of political and financial support from the canton of Aargau and the city of Aarau. Today, it is impossible to imagine the city of Aarau and the canton of Aargau without KIFF. Now, with the new KIFF 2.0 building project, KIFF is venturing into the next step and another quarter of a century of culture in the Futterfabrik.
