DARKSIDE celebrates its own Christmas and brings the Dachstock a powerful NEUROFUNK classic every year during the cold season:
the legendary British duo OPTICAL & MC RYMETYME from VIRUS RECORDINGS visits the capital and has a lot of bass-heavy gifts in its bag! More than a quarter of a century has passed since the groundbreaking and genre-redefining LP ‘Wormhole’ was released, and the pioneers of dark-techy drum & bass are still touring the globe with their label partner ED RUSH.
Local support comes from DARKSIDE resident and Bern scene pioneer DEEJAY MF, who has been behind the decks since 1992, CRONIC, the long-time DJ, producer and promoter from Winterthur, and RYCK, who is responsible for the monthly BERN BASS PODCAST. Support on the microphone comes from the resident MC of the FUTURE FOREVER label from Basel, MC RESC.

Dachstock, known as the Reitschule’s event group, has been commissioned by the Reitschule to organize various musical and cultural events. The Dachstock is a cultural enterprise organized by interested people who want to bring different musical styles and content to the stage. There are neither good nor bad styles of music. The Reitschule Manifesto is the guideline.
The Dachstock Collective is organized on a basis of grassroots democracy. All interested collectivists of the Dachstock are welcome at the collective meeting. Diversity in the collective is important to us – knowledge from long-standing members is passed on to new members. The operative collective, which comprises age groups of around three generations, continues to shape the exciting, multifaceted cultural business that has developed over more than two decades.
