DARKSIDE promises a modern Sun and Bass classic with fiery vibes and plenty of bass in the cold month of January:
Charlie Bierman aka BREAK, producer and label boss of Symmetry Recordings, is coming over from England. With countless releases on his own label and others such as Metalheadz and Shogun Audio, he has been at the top of the international drum & bass scene for almost two decades. BREAK stands for powerful dancefloor hits with spartan breaks and driving basslines, musically sophisticated and often with an old-school feel. His love of playing and experimenting in the studio characterises the powerful, warm analogue sound of his tracks, which always stand out in sets. In the course of his career, he has remixed several genre classics and added his own touch of brilliance, such as Shy Fx’s ‘Bambaata’ and DJ Dies’ ‘Clear Skyz’.
Support on the mic comes from legendary London MC GQ, who has been active since the early 90s and became world famous through his hosting at raves such as AWOL, World Dance and as Andy C’s long-time MC. Local support on the decks will be provided by scene pioneer and Darkside resident DEEJAY MF, young STURZFLUG AUDIO member KELIT, and long-time Dachstock guest DJ SUBMERGE, who will conclude DARKSIDE with a wide range of styles and flavours. Lyrical support on the mic will be provided by the accomplished MC RESC from the FUTURE FOREVER crew from Basel.

Dachstock, known as the Reitschule’s event group, has been commissioned by the Reitschule to organize various musical and cultural events. The Dachstock is a cultural enterprise organized by interested people who want to bring different musical styles and content to the stage. There are neither good nor bad styles of music. The Reitschule Manifesto is the guideline.
The Dachstock Collective is organized on a basis of grassroots democracy. All interested collectivists of the Dachstock are welcome at the collective meeting. Diversity in the collective is important to us – knowledge from long-standing members is passed on to new members. The operative collective, which comprises age groups of around three generations, continues to shape the exciting, multifaceted cultural business that has developed over more than two decades.
