After an intense premiere, our Drift! series is entering its second round. On Saturday, 13 September 2025, we will once again take over the Nest and transform it into a vibrant bass room. Expect a night full of pressure, deep frequencies and sounds that come straight from the heart of the international dubstep scene.
Guests from Cologne: Roklem & Sebalo (Deep Medi)
Roklem stands for powerful, uncompromising drops, clear production and an energy that makes the dance floor shake. An integral part of the European dubstep community for years, his tracks deliver what heads expect: sound that penetrates both body and space.
Sebalo complements this approach with deep, atmospheric vibes. His tunes are meditative, hypnotic and full of detail – basslines like walls of fog, interspersed with subtle patterns that slowly unfold. Together, the two develop a sound that is equally dark, heavy and driving – dubstep in its purest form, timeless and uncompromising.
Local support from Basel
Zecher is not only a DJ and producer, but also co-founder of Subotage Records – a label that has been shaping the underground bass scene in Basel for years. His style is precisely produced, uncompromising and always full of energy. With a fusion of UK bass, dubstep and drum & bass, he delivers sets that feel like a ride through different facets of bass music: sometimes dark and powerful, sometimes vibrant and full of drive. Anyone who knows Zecher knows that his energy behind the decks is a must-see.
Pol R moves at the intersection of halftime drum & bass and UK basslines. As a DJ and sound designer, he knows how to shape his sets into stories – rich in detail, powerful and innovative. He combines sub-basses that hit you in the stomach with sophisticated breaks and unusual rhythms. Pol R stands for musical depth without losing the pressure on the dance floor.

SUBOTAGE RECORDS was founded in 2011 by the producers Schulzone and Zecher, resident in Basel, Switzerland.
SUBOTAGE RECORDS is an internationally active bass-music label focussed on supporting gifted upcoming Dubstep and Drum ‘n Bass musician.
With currently over 35 releases, including more than 130 tracks created by 20 artists from different countries, SUBOTAGE RECORDS adds a valuable contribution to the community of bass music lover all over the world.
Venue
The Kuppel Basel has a long history: first set up in 1986 as a seasonal games and events tent on the Schützenmatte, the old Kuppel moved to the Nachtigallenwäldeli as a temporary venue in 1988. Originally used as a youth centre, it served as a home for the regional pop music scene in all its forms for 22 years from 1994 to 2016. Despite the constant uncertainty regarding the future of the temporary venue, the old dome was one of the top addresses in Basel’s nightlife scene and enjoyed an outstanding reputation among bands and audiences alike.
In 2016, the old Kuppel had to close and the temporary venue had to be dismantled. In the same year, the Kuppel Foundation was established with the aim of promoting non-profit-orientated ‘alternative and youth culture’. The second project competition for the new Kuppel Basel was launched at the beginning of 2019, from which the winning project ‘Volume 2’ by Vécsey*Schmidt Architects emerged. Construction work on the new Basel dome began in 2022 and was completed in summer 2024. After an 8-year interruption to operations, the new Kuppel Basel finally reopened in October 2024.
