Before drum and bass, before jungle, even before hardcore, DJ Aphrodite was already doing his thing. Back in 1988, when acid house reigned supreme, this man was already shaking things up musically. Establishing himself as a producer and founder of the Aphrodite Recordings label in the early 90s, he has been a pillar of the British rave scene ever since.
Three decades into his career, with two solo albums, a bag full of exclusive dubs, and an insane amount of air miles under his belt, DJ Aphrodite knows rave music inside and out. As one of the godfathers of drum “n” bass, he’s more than capable of teaching the new generation a few lessons about how legends do things.
Bouncing between colourful melodies, big purring layers and heavy strident notes capable of sawing a crow’s beak in half, H!ghman has been twirling between different styles of drum and bass in Geneva for the past ten years. Make sure you break out the knitwear and other winter furs, because there’s going to be some serious swing on the dancefloor at La Jonquille!
Dser, the inveterate jungle fan, producer and DJ, stands out on the Geneva scene. Resident at the Zoo (l’Usine) during a pivotal period in the drum’n’bass scene, he has collaborated on themed nights such as Back to jungle, WildWild JumpUp, Brutality attitude, Localize your brain and many more… These days, he’s opened up his musical spectrum to explore new horizons, but he’s still got one foot firmly planted in his native style.
A drum and bass enthusiast, Zenom is a fan of big, resonant bass. Always seeking the perfect balance between power and fluidity, he offers sonic journeys where each mix is designed to thrill the bodies and minds of his audience. Get ready to enter a world where frantic rhythms and hypnotic basslines are king.
